The project Inka Llacta ® is an incredible travel back to the time over more than 500 years at the time of the height of the Inca Empire or Inkanato through the construction of an archeological site. This project has several objectives, among theses become the essential complement of Machu Picchu and of other archaeological sites, museums and specialized works. A teaching and professional tool of first level, of understanding of the values, heritages and the necessity of studying, respect, protect them and promote them in a intelligent way.
Therefore we will reconstitute the daily life of the high Inca nobility in the fifteenth century through the construction of an archeological site with the additional task of generating through this way a Centre for Study and Research about the Inca Culture.

Our Goals:

• Making the first archeological site (after Inkanato ®) facing the Inca culture.

• Create two cultural corridors, of research and thematic tourism, pro-active, effective and sustainable, which the principal on the Valley of Anta and the second, across, linking the valley and the Sacred Valley.

• Greening the Andes by actions of protection and recovery of native biodiversity and reforestation with native trees and shrubs.

• Generate a plan for Sustainable Development in Rural Agricultural Zone Andean oriented to Andean culture.

Mission and objectives of the association:

The mission of Inka Llacta, the Inca city under construction, is to provide rural Andean populations with a sustainable development program based on their own culture, by  creating an  Archeosite  available for them in their area.

The objectives of the sustainable development program are:

1 - To continuously improve our knowledge about the Inca culture in history, architecture, gastronomy, handcrafts, agriculture ... through theoretical and practical research within the Inka Llacta Archeosite and through the reconstitution of elements of the Inca nobility and its people‘s everyday and extraordinary life.
2 - To develop a proactive and responsible tourism that would benefit to the entire area (by creating new commercial needs for instance) and that would be structured according to its imperatives.
3 - To create a research and documentation center with a database about the Inca culture as well as about all the topics that can be related to a sustainable development in the region : renewable energies, native biodiversity, reforestation with native elements, waste treatment  ...
4 - To participate in the writing of books that are to be adapted into film as a double trilogy of fictions based on historical facts about the Inca culture, in order to focus the attention of professionals in various arts and of the general public on the great adventure that is the Inca Empire’s creation, on its technological and cultural levels, and on all the verifiable information’s sources that are existing.

5- To comply with the expectations of the population of various villages from the Anta valley who wish to not be excluded from the benefices given by the inflow of visitors, and also wish to be part of new alternative ideas, by offering them a well-founded program on the themes of distinctive, cultural and research-based tourism.

Why was the project launched and what are its main elements ?:

Regarding Peru, we can easily take into account the consequences of the Spanish colonization on the entire Inca culture. Indeed, after centuries of denigration of this culture, considered as underdeveloped and even barbaric in favor of a European culture considered as far superior, we can see not only that the ignorance and the  interest that is too limited about the pre-Columbian cultures is unwarranted, but also that it deprives us from a series of elements and knowledge, which not only could restore the historical truth, but also that could be of great use in different sectors of our societies today and tomorrow.
If we take a look for instance at the touristic sector in Peru, we notice that the archaeological city of Machu Picchu built by the Incas in the 15th century, attracts nowadays between 2000 and 2500 visitors a day. It is considered as one of the 7 New Wonders of the world and is the central pillar of the touristic sector at the national level, and moreover it increases tourism in the surrounding area. This example shows how the past can cause a major attraction for all that there is a structure able to properly manage tourist flows.
And we aim at placing us exactly at that level, as we aim at becoming an "essential complement to the famous archaeological sites and museums, by bringing together all the objects and integrating them into their context with the participation of the local people", and by responding to recurring questions such as: "How all this was built? How was life at that time? What were their levels of technology, of technique? What products did they have? What were their products, their dishes, their designs, their food...? What was their history? Does not all this deserve one or several big budget films? "

Then the Archeosite intends to host:

a) a theme park on the Inca culture which can attract in the medium term 10% of domestic tourism, positioning itself as an "essential complement to the famous archaeological sites, museums, guides and reference books on the subject”, where the local people can show their ancient culture and their rich Inca heritage at different levels including: native biodiversity, agriculture, livestock, buildings, architecture, design, gastronomy based on the rediscovery of native products in an Archeosite "restaurant", arts and crafts workshops, the rediscovery of the native plants and techniques’ potential in the fields of medicine, cosmetics, dietary ...

b) An educational center for students and teachers, both local and external, with presentations and workshops based on the principle that in order to really understand a thing we need "to see it, to see how it is done and to do it ourselves", and that show the Inca culture like never before.

c) a research and documentation center in which, thanks to all types of documents, elements experienced in the site (in the workshops and laboratories) and investigation and communication technologies we can provide a win-win-win principle: for local people first, for the center that would embody a sustainable material and immaterial asset management tool available for them, and for visitors, either tourists or people related to an educational or professional sector.

d) a production center with audio, visual and multimedia productions, for the three screens : TV, computers and cinema, with an interactive museum using animations and shows. The center has already recorded:

- Musical and gastronomic productions, including the design of the «New Inca imperial cuisine”, reports and documentaries,

- An event in 2009 with 400 people in costumes of the time,

- the production of books and the writing of educational books and of historical novels that are to be adapted into movies, including two trilogies that take place at the time of the Inca empire, and that will certainly be an extraordinary surprising and exciting revelation, and that has the ambition to aim at least as high as productions such as Troy, Gladiator, Apocalypto or Avatar. Because the Inca world, despite the attraction that it generally represents, has never had the honor of the big screen to show its greatness through a great movie.

e) an interactive and multimedia last generation museum that will be created with the collaboration of leading museum professionals such as Ulla Holmquist who participated in the development of the one of "Moche Huaca", who is actually working with the Larco Museum, and with whom first contacts were made in this direction.
